From the first site measure to the final coat of hardwax oil, we build the wooden heart of your home — closets, cabinetry and millwork shaped around the way you actually live, not the way a catalog assumes you do.
View All ServicesWalk-ins, reach-ins and dressing rooms built to the millimeter — every drawer, rail and shelf placed around your wardrobe, not a catalog's.
Fully bespoke cabinet runs in stained oak and walnut — inset doors, soft-close everything, and finishes that deepen with age instead of dating.
Library walls, media units, window seats, wine rooms — architectural joinery that looks original to the house because it's scribed to it.
Panelling, stairs, doors, ceiling beams and trim — one grain language carried through the entire home, designed and installed by a single team.
"We don't build furniture for houses. We build the parts of a home you touch every day — and those should be made of real wood, by real hands."

Oak & Umber started in 2018 as a one-bench shop building closet systems for two Jacksonville builders. Word traveled the way it always does in this trade — through the people who open those drawers every morning.
Today a six-person crew runs the same way that first bench did: one material honored, one project at a time, from raw sawn lumber to the final hinge adjustment on install day.

View ProjectThey turned our storage problem into the most beautiful room in the house.
Eight years of turning raw lumber into the rooms people love most.
Our work speaks through the people who live with it — repeat clients, referrals, and homes we've returned to three rooms later.
Every build follows a structured three-phase process — so you always know what's happening in the shop and what arrives next.
We walk the space together, laser-measure every wall, and learn how you actually use the rooms — what sticks, what overflows, what you reach for daily.
You approve shop drawings and 3D renderings, choose boards from our racks by hand, and sign off on stain and hardware before a single cut is made.
Your project is cut, joined and finished in our Jacksonville shop, then installed by the same hands that built it — scribed to your walls, dead level, dust-free.

Every project starts as a pencil line. Here's what happens between that line and install day.

Three finishes, one species — and three completely different rooms. How we help you pick.
