Rather than one mass, the architect broke the program into four pavilions and joined them with a covered walk along the water. You move between rooms in open air, which is the whole point of building on this stretch of the Intracoastal.
The main pavilion holds the kitchen and living space and opens on three sides. Two guest pavilions sit north of it, and the primary suite takes the south end alone, past a courtyard planted with palmetto and muhly grass.
The dock was rebuilt in 2023 with a 16,000-pound lift and a covered sitting deck at the end. The channel runs deep here, so the boat stays in the water year round.
